IMPORTANT UPDATE for Early Childhood Educators & Leaders!
From April 1, 2025, all Nominated Supervisors, persons in day-to-day charge, and family day care coordinators must complete an approved child protection course under Section 162A of the Education and Care Services National Law.

This training is essential for fulfilling legal obligations under Section 162A of the Education and Care Services National Law (Queensland).

Most people in these roles will have completed one of the below units of competency and will not need to do it again.

  • CHCPRT025 Identify and report children and young people at risk
  • CHCPRT026 Support the rights and safety of children and young people
  • CHCPRT001 Identify and respond to children and young people at risk  (included in many qualifications including CHC30121, CHC30113 and CHC50113).
  • CHCPRT002 Support the rights and safety of children and young people
  • CHCECE057 Use collaborative practices to uphold child protection principles

However, if you have not completed one of these above units you can enrol into the CHCPRT025 Identify and report children and young people at risk with AIECS.
